This error may also be returned if the input dataset you specified is from version 9.x or earlier. Editor tracking can be enabled on 10.0 and later version datasets only.
Solution
Read more about the Enable Editor Tracking tool to see which data types are supported.
If the dataset is from version 9.x or earlier, specify a 10.0 or later version dataset, or upgrade the dataset to a later version.
