Description
Dirty areas in a utility network may be encountered under the following conditions:
- When performing a trace using the Validate Consistency option, and one or more dirty areas intersect the traceable network features.
- When updating subnetworks, and one or more dirty areas intersect the subnetwork features. The subnetwork name is appended to the error message in brackets.
The specific class and global ID for the network feature that needs to be validated is appended to the end of the error message. The dirty areas must be validated to ensure that the results from the operation are consistent with the network topology.
Solution
Locate the network feature and remove the dirty area by validating the network topology.
