Description
You are trying to register a feature class or dataset as versioned with the wrong versioning type. Here are some examples:
- Feature datasets containing a Utility Network support branch versioning only.
- Datasets with batch calculation or validation attribute rules support branch versioning only.
The versioning type is set in the geodatabase connection properties of the database connection.
Solution
Before registering data as versioned, ensure that the versioning type in the geodatabase connection properties is appropriately set to either traditional or branch depending on workflow or data requirements.
