230007: The time span of the output cube will be from <value> to <value>.

Description

This message indicates the start time and end time of the output space-time cube if the tool is run with the current parameters.

For most tools that display this message, the output space-time cube will have the same time span as the input space-time cube. For tools in the Time Series Forecasting toolset, the time span will include the additional forecasted time steps at the end of the cube.

For the Subset Space Time Cube tool, the time span of the output space-time cube is based on the Temporal Subset Method parameter value.

  • User-defined—The time span is based on the start and end time provided for the Time Span of Subset parameter.
  • Space-time cube—The time span is based on the start and end time of the input temporal subset cube.
  • Number of time steps—The time span is based on the number of time steps removed from the start or end of the input space-time cube. For example, if the first two bins are dropped, the message will show the start time of the third bin. Similarly, while dropping bins from the end, it will show the end time of the final remaining bin.

Note:

For the user-defined and space-time cube temporal subset methods, the time span of the output space-time cube may differ if the specified start time and end time do not align with the start and end time of the input space-time cube bins. For example, if the specified start time and end time are 1/24/2019 and 12/24/2019, respectively, the message will show the start time of the bin containing the specified start time and the end time of the bin containing the specified end time. In this example, if the cube is aggregated monthly, 1/24/2019 and 12/24/2019 will intersect the bin 1/1/2019 through 1/31/2019 and the bin 12/1/2019 through 12/31/2019, respectively, and the time span of the output space-time cube will be from 1/1/2019 to 12/31/2019.
