Description
When appending feature-linked annotation feature classes, they must be linked to the same feature class. If they're not, the relationship class cannot update the annotation once they're appended, as the related features do not exist for the unlinked feature class.
Solution
Only append annotation feature classes that are feature linked to the same feature class to maintain the feature-linked relationship.
