Description
When adding a new field to a table or feature class, this error is returned when the data type is not supported for the geodatabase version being used.
Depending on the data type requirements, the geodatabase may need to be upgraded to a supported version.
Solution
To verify the geodatabase version, use the Database properties dialog box. If the geodatabase needs to be upgraded, use the Upgrade Geodatabase tool.
