The display scale settings can be adjusted using the Minimum and Maximum drop-down menus on the Maritime S-101 tab in the S-100 Editing group. The setting automatically populates minimumDisplayScale and maximumDisplayScale attributes for each inserted feature.
Nota:
All data in a dataset must have the same minimum display scale, but portions of a dataset can have a different maximum display scale. This depends on the best scale required for navigation in an area.
The display scale is used to indicate a range of scales wherein data can be used by a Producer. Export S-101 Cell uses display scale attributes to determine which features are exported to a dataset. The Maximum display scale attribute is used to indicate the largest intended viewing scale for the data, whereas the Minimum display scale is used to indicate the smallest intended viewing scale for the data.
These scales must be set at any one of the scales specified in the following table:
