Set cartographic realignment options

Disponible avec la licence Location Referencing.

You can set cartographic realignment options for use with ArcGIS Pro editing tools in a feature service. These options are found on the Location Referencing tab in the Carto-realignment group.

Remarque :

Support for using the Edit tab tools to update calibration, such as the Move tool Déplacer, is provided for feature service editing only.

Cartographic realignment options

Set one of the following cartographic realignment options in the Carto-realignment group of the Location Referencing tab before doing cartographic realignment steps. The default setting is Proportionally Snap, which is the only snapping option offered outside feature services.

The cartographic realignment configuration option set when cartographic realignment begins is applied to any impacted calibration points in the cartographically realigned section. Calibration is updated only for intermediate calibration points that are within the edited section and according to the cartographic realignment option that is set when the edit is performed.

OptionDescription

Proportionally Snap Capturer proportionnellement

Use this option to snap calibration points on the updated route. Proportionally Snap is the default snapping configuration, and is the only snapping option in file geodatabases as well as in traditionally-versioned projects using a direct connection.

Ignore Ignorer

Use this option to ignore any calibration points located on the cartographically realigned area.

Remarque :

Ignore is supported only in feature services.

When Ignore is set, calibration points stay where they were prior to the route edit. Subsequent edits are required to complete the cartographic realignment by manually moving calibration points to their new location.

Delete Suppr

Use this option to delete any calibration points located on the cartographically realigned area.

Remarque :

Delete using the Edit tab, Features group, Delete button Suppr is supported only in feature services.

When Delete is set as the snapping option, calibration points are deleted during cartographic realignment. Subsequent edits are required to complete the cartographic realignment with calibration equivalent to calibration found prior to the edit.

Cartographic realignment options scenario

The following scenario demonstrates the differing outcomes of a cartographic realignment for each of the three cartographic realignment options in the Carto-realignment group of the Location Referencing tab.

The underlying centerline for Route1 has been modified in the following screenshot, but the cartographic realignment has not yet taken place. Route1 has calibration at the start and end of the route, as well as three nonequidistant intermediate calibration points that fall inside the cartographic realignment section. Only those calibration points in the edited section are updated using the configured option after cartographic realignment.

Route1 before cartographic realignment

If Proportionally Snap Capturer proportionnellement is the configured cartographic realignment option before the route edit, the intermediate calibration points snap proportionally to the new location of their respective measures when the route edit takes place.

Route1 after cartographic realignment when Proportional Snapping is the configured cartographic realignment option

If Ignore Ignorer is the configured cartographic realignment option before the route edit, the intermediate calibration points do not move when the route edit takes place.

Route1 after cartographic realignment when Ignore is the configured cartographic realignment option

If Delete Suppr is the configured cartographic realignment option before the route edit, the intermediate calibration points are deleted when the route edit takes place.
