Modify calibration points

Location Referencing ライセンスで利用可能です。

ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing stores route calibration points in a simple feature class. You can edit route calibration points using the tools available on the Location Referencing tab.

Measure value and temporality modification scenarios

You can update a calibration point's start date, retire date, and measure using the Edit Calibration Point tool ポイントの編集 on the Location Referencing tab. This tool also allows downstream recalibration to be applied to a route when a calibration point is edited.

ヒント:

To update the location of a calibration point, delete the calibration point using the Delete Calibration Point tool, and then add a calibration point at the new location using the Add Calibration Point tool.

With downstream recalibration

The following is an example of a route calibration workflow with downstream recalibration after modifying a calibration point:

The route's existing calibration points and route calibration before modification with the Recalibrate route downstream check box checked:

Edit Calibration Point before diagram

An existing calibration point is edited with a user-defined measure of 5.

Edit Calibration Point diagram with modified calibration point

When the tool is run, the calibration point is edited, downstream calibration points are updated, and the route is recalibrated.

Resulting Edit Calibration Point diagram with downstream calibration

Without downstream recalibration

The following is an example of a route calibration point workflow after modifying a calibration point without downstream calibration:

The route's existing calibration points and route calibration before modification with the Recalibrate route downstream check box unchecked.

Edit Calibration Point before diagram

An existing calibration point is edited with a user-defined measure of 5.

Edit Calibration Point diagram with modified calibration point

When the tool is run, the calibration point is modified and the route is recalibrated. The result of route calibration is no changes to downstream calibration point values.

Complex route calibration scenarios

The following sections provide examples of calibration on complex routes including loop, branch, lollipop, and alpha routes.

Calibration on a loop route

In the following example, a calibration point is added in the middle of a loop route (RouteX) using a different measure (2.5) than the existing measure (2). Since Recalibrate route downstream is unchecked, no downstream measures are affected.

Example 1: Input for calibration on a loop route

A calibration point is added using the new measure (2.5).

Example 1: Output for calibration on a loop route

Calibration on a branch route

In the following example, a calibration point is added on a branch route (RouteX) using a different measure (2) than the existing measure (4.5) . Since Recalibrate route downstream is unchecked, no downstream measures are affected.

Example 1: Input for calibration on a branch route

A calibration point is added using the updated measure (2). All downstream measures remain the same.

Example 1: Output for calibration on a branch route

Calibration on a lollipop route

In the following example, an existing calibration point (0) at the beginning of a lollipop route (RouteX) is updated using a new measure (2). Since Recalibrate route downstream is unchecked, no downstream measures are affected.

Example 1: Input for calibration on a lollipop route

The calibration point is updated using the new measure (2). All downstream measures remain the same.

Example 1: Output for calibration on a lollipop route

Calibration on an alpha route

In the following example, an existing calibration point (2.33) on an alpha route (RouteX) is updated using a new measure (3). Since Recalibrate route downstream is unchecked, no downstream measures are affected.

Example 1: Input for calibration on an alpha route

The calibration point is updated using the new measure (3). All downstream measures remain the same.

Example 1: Output for calibration on an alpha route

Complete the following steps to edit calibration points on a route:

  1. Click the Location Referencing tab.
  2. Click Edit Point ポイントの編集.
    メモ:

Traditionally versioned networks must be edited through a direct connection to the geodatabase. Branch versioned networks, including any networks configured with a user-generated route ID, must be edited through a feature service.

  3. Select an existing calibration point on the map.

The Edit Calibration Point pane appears with attributes for the selected calibration point populated.

    Edit Calibration Point pane

  4. Change the From Date and To Date values to set when this calibration is applied to the route.
  5. Change the Measure value of this calibration point.
  6. Choose whether you want to recalibrate the route downstream by checking or unchecking the Recalibrate route downstream check box.

When the check box is checked, recalibration is applied to downstream calibration points along the route.

For example, if an existing calibration (or measure) at the location where you want to add a calibration point is 5, and the next downstream calibration point at the end of the route has measure 10, changing measure 5 to 6 with Recalibrate route downstream checked will result in a downstream calibration point with measure 11.

When the check box is not checked, no recalibration is applied to the downstream calibration points along the route.

For example, if an existing calibration (or measure) at the location is changed from 5 to 6, leaving the Recalibrate route downstream check box unchecked results in the downstream calibration point maintaining a measure of 10.

  7. Click Run.
    メモ:

Calibration on the route is updated.

  8. If more calibration points are ready to be edited, repeat the steps above to edit them.
    メモ:

If a message about acquiring locks or reconciling appears, conflict prevention is enabled.
