You can access different types of source data when producing nautical data in ArcGIS Pro. However, most fall into one of two categories: raster or vector.
With ArcGIS Maritime, you can use a variety of raster formats as source data for your electronic navigational chart (ENC) production. When performing data production or maintenance, the editor often loads a raster image as a backdrop layer. If the raster image is not georeferenced, the editor georeferences the image before it is a viable source. Changing the transparency of the feature layer allows you to collect your data on top of the raster layer without having to consider the draw order. You can use the Attributes pane to choose the appropriate feature class or subtype before digitizing from the raster.
Vector data can come in many different formats, including shapefiles, DGN files (design), and other data types. Existing S-57 data can be imported directly into the geodatabase using the Import S-57 To Geodatabase tool. The Дополнительный модуль ArcGIS Data Interoperability further expands the number of third-party software formats available as sources for ArcGIS Pro.
For vector source data, you can use the copy and paste tools to take the geometry from the source data and put it into your geodatabase. Click Paste Special to streamline this activity by allowing you to choose the appropriate feature class or subtype for the target layer. Your workflow will consist of the following:
