Geodatabase replication in ArcGIS Pro provides the Create Replica and Synchronize Changes geoprocessing tools from ArcMap and an interface to manage replicas. These tools allow users to create replicas between two geodatabases and synchronize changes in ArcGIS Pro using traditional versioning. See Prepare data for replication to get started.
Note:
Geodatabase replication tools in ArcGIS Pro are only supported with data that is registered as traditional versioned. Branch versioning is not supported for any data source within any replica type.
Having a combination of dataset registration types is not supported when creating a replica.
- Two-way replicas require data to be registered as versioned.
- One-way replicas require the source data to be registered as versioned. The target data in a one-way replica may be nonversioned if using a simple model.
- Checkout replicas allow versioned or nonversioned data but cannot contain a mix of both registration types. If working with nonversioned data, a mix of archive-enabled data and data without archiving enabled is not supported.
The following table lists geodatabase data types and their compatibility with geodatabase replication in ArcGIS Pro:
Data types | Edit using traditional versioning | Read-only | Not supported |
