ListTables

Summary

Returns a list of tables in the current workspace.

Discussion

The workspace environment must be set before using several of the list functions, including ListDatasets, ListFeatureClasses, ListFiles, ListRasters, ListTables, and ListWorkspaces.

Syntax

ListTables ({wild_card}, {table_type})

wild_card

Limits the results returned. If a value is not specified, all values are returned. The wildcard is not case sensitive.

The table type to limit the results. The following are valid table types:

  • dBASEOnly tables of type dBASE are returned.
  • INFOOnly stand-alone INFO tables are returned.
  • ALLAll stand-alone tables, including geodatabase tables, are returned. This is the default.

(The default value is All)
