ImportBookmarks Method

Import bookmarks from ArcMap, ArcGlobe, and ArcScene bookmark files (*.dat) or ArcGIS Pro bookmark files (*.bmkx). This method must be called on the MCT. Use QueuedTask.Run.

Parameters

filePath: The path to the file

Return Value

The collection of bookmarks for the map.

Exceptions

Exception	Description
ArcGIS.Core.CalledOnWrongThreadException	This method or property must be called within the lambda passed to QueuedTask.Run.
System.ArgumentException	Current project is null.
System.ArgumentException	Active map view is null.
System.ArgumentException	Invalid map path.
System.ArgumentException	Not supported file type.
System.ArgumentException	path is a zero-length string, contains only white space, or contains one or more invalid characters as defined by InvalidPathChars.
System.ArgumentException	path is null.
System.IO.PathTooLongException	The specified path, file name, or both exceed the system-defined maximum length.
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException	The specified path is invalid, (for example, it is on an unmapped drive).
System.UnauthorizedAccessException	path specified a directory or the caller does not have the required permission.
System.IO.FileNotFoundException	The file specified in path was not found.
System.NotSupportedException	path is in an invalid format.
System.IO.IOException	An I/O error occurred while opening the file.
System.Exception	General import failure.
