Introduction to survey-based positioning data

Available for an ArcGIS organization licensed with the ArcGIS IPS extension.

Indoor positioning data can be generated using radio signal survey data collected using ArcGIS IPS Setup, available for iOS and Android devices.

The following is an overview of the steps required to create and collect survey data:

1. Plan an indoor positioning survey.
2. Perform an indoor positioning survey.

   Note:

   Survey data is stored in the IPS_Recordings feature class.

3. Generate an Indoor Positioning Dataset using the collected survey data.
