The Explore Bathymetry pane allows you to filter data based on the attributes listed in the BisCatalog Footprints table. The BIS schema is configurable and can be customized by adding metadata fields and domains.
You can define which metadata fields are displayed in the Explore Bathymetry pane by editing the Fields To Display cell in the BisDetails table. The BisDetails table contains a single record that defines the metadata fields that appear in the Explore Bathymetry pane. Any additional metadata fields added must match the field names in the BisCatalog Footprints table.
Complete the following steps to customize the filters that appear in the Explore Bathymetry pane:
- Open the BisCatalog Footprints table and refer to the fields available in the table.
- Open the BisDetails attribute table.
- Double-click the Fields To Display cell to edit it.

Use the field names (rather than the field alias names) and separate them by commas, with no spaces between the field names and commas, for example, cd_itemname,DataType,PercentCoverage.
The filter fields update to reflect the changes made to the Fields To Display column in the BisDetails table. You may need to scroll down in the Explore Bathymetry pane to view the added filter fields.
