The Association Manager pane lists existing or potential associations in a workspace based on the filters and viewing options that are applied.
Access the Association Manager pane
To access the Association Manager pane, complete the following steps:
- Start ArcGIS Pro.
- Open a new or existing project.
- Add maritime data to the Contents pane if necessary.
The Maritime S-100 tab appears.
- On the Maritime S-100 tab, in the S-100 Editing group,
click Association Manager
.The Association Manager pane appears.

Before creating associations, ensure that the features you want to associate are visible in the map view.
View associations
To view features and their associations in the Association Manager pane, complete the following steps:
- In the View Associations By section, choose one of the following options:
- Selection—View features and associations by a selection set.
- Extent—View features and associations by map extent.
- Optionally, check the Show Only Existing check box to view only features with existing associations.
The list of features in the Association Manager pane is static; this allows you to continue to work with the features in the pane regardless of your current selections in the map.
- Click Refresh
to update the feature list Association Manager pane based on what you chose in the View Associations By section.The Association Manager pane updates based on the selection in the View Associations By section, and the features become visible.
Note:
If the pane remains empty, it means there are no features that meet the criteria chosen in the View Associations By section.
- Click a feature name to expand it.
- Click either Feature Associations or Information Associations to view existing associations for that feature.
- Hover over an association name to view more information about the association.
A pop-up that contains details about the association appears.

Context menu options
The context menu of a feature in the Association Manager pane allows you to do the following:
- Select the feature.
- Add it to the selection set.
- Pan to the feature.
- Zoom to the feature.
To access the context menu options, complete the following steps:
- Click Refresh
to update the feature list Association Manager pane based on what you chose in the View Associations By section.The Association Manager pane updates based on the selection in the View Associations By section, and the features become visible.
Note:
If the pane remains empty, it means there are no features that meet the criteria chosen in the View Associations By section.
- Expand a feature class node to view the individual features.
- Select a feature in the Association Manager pane, and right-click to open the context menu.

- Click any of the following options from the context menu:
- Select Feature—Select a highlighted feature.
- Add To Selection—Add the highlighted feature to the selection.
- Flash—Flash the highlighted feature on the map.
- Zoom To—Zoom to the highlighted feature.
- Pan To—Pan to the highlighted feature.
Note:
The options to select and add to the selection are honored even if the layer is not selectable. If layer visibility is turned off for features that are already loaded in the Association Manager pane, the entire contents of the context menu are unavailable. Turn on the layer's visibility in the Contents pane to access the context menu options.
