Description
Specific words including SELECT, DELETE, and UPDATE are reserved and cannot be used for table, feature class, and field names. Attempting to use a reserved word as a table name will return an error. Using a reserved word as a field name will return an error indicating that the column name is invalid. Copying and pasting from a data source where the word is not reserved will add an underscore character to the end of any table or column name that is reserved in the file geodatabase.
