Release notes for ArcGIS Pro 3.0

Each major, minor, and patch release of ArcGIS Pro includes fixes for bugs that were reported to Esri Technical Support. The bugs that were fixed are reported in the Issues Addressed list.

For information about compatibility between ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and previous releases, see Migration from ArcGIS Pro 2.x to 3.0.

Issues Addressed list

See the Issues Addressed list for 3.0 [PDF].

  • You can find more information about an issue in the .pdf file by searching for the BUG number on the Technical Support website.
  • The .pdf file is updated as patches are released.

Note:

ArcGIS Pro build numbers and release dates for each release are listed on the Technical Support website.

ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3

ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3 installs all files that are part of the application, including files updated in ArcGIS Pro 3.0.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2, and the bug fixes for the issues addressed at 3.0.3.

Software downloads for ArcGIS Pro 3.0.0, 3.0.1, and 3.0.2 are no longer available.

In contrast to other ArcGIS Pro patches, ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3 can be installed regardless of whether there is a prior installation of ArcGIS Pro on the machine. Future 3.0 patches will be based on ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3; that is, 3.0.3 will need to be installed before any later patches can be installed.

What's new

Major and minor releases also include new functionality, which is described in What's new in ArcGIS Pro.

ArcGIS acknowledgements

The acknowledgements for ArcGIS can be found on the Esri legal website.

Removal and deprecation notices

Notices are released when it is determined that functionality will be removed from a future version of ArcGIS Pro. The notices describe what will be removed, so you can evaluate whether your workflows will be affected; alternative functionality, so you can find other ways to reach the same or similar results; and when the removal will occur, if known.

Functionality that will be removed in future releases

Preset layers

The Add Preset layer gallery has been deprecated in the ArcGIS Pro 3.0 release. You can draw preset layers from ArcGIS Pro 2.9 and earlier versions, but you can no longer create or modify them. See the Add Preset Gallery Deprecation notice for additional information.
