Enable or disable layer editability in a map

The List By Editing tab List By Editing in the Contents pane Contents allows you to enable or disable editability for layers in a map or scene referencing editable source data. These settings are saved with the map and do not change permissions granted at the data source.

For steps to set the default setting, see Change default editability for newly added layers.

Note:

To change permissions at the data source, use the Change Privileges tool.

  1. Click the ribbon View tab. In the Windows group, click Contents Contents.

    The Contents pane appears.
