Text fields in a table or pop-up, as well as text elements in a layout or report, automatically recognize and display a clickable link for text that meets a combination of URI schemes and file extensions. A recognized link appears blue and underlined in the field.

To control the list of URI schemes and file extensions used to recognize hyperlinks in a table, pop-up, layout, or report, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the ArcGIS Pro settings page in one of the following ways:
    • From an open project, click the Project tab on the ribbon.
    • From the start page, click the Settings tab Settings.
  2. In the list of side tabs, click Options.
  3. On the Options dialog box, under Application, click Security.
  4. To prevent all web links from being recognized, uncheck the Allow web links check box under the Set options for hyperlinks heading.

    The default setting is checked.

  5. Optionally, expand the Supported URI schemes option to manually modify the list.
  6. To prevent all file links from being recognized, uncheck the Allow file links check box under the Set options for hyperlinks heading.

    The default setting is checked.

  7. Optionally, expand the Supported file extensions option to manually modify the list.
  8. Both lists include a menu button that provides the following options:
    • Reset Reset—Reset the list to the default settings.
    • Load Load…—Load and replace the list from a file.
    • Save Save…—Save the current list to a file.
    Note:

The menu button is only available when an option is checked.
